Design quality for business infrastructure
OpenBlockS history
The OpenBlockS600 is the newest model of a series that sold over 50,000 units.
A new standard
When the first OpenBlockS model hit the market in 2000, it set the standard for embedded Linux systems in Japan thanks to its compact size, reliability and flexibility.
Polished Microserver quality
This was continued with the successor, the OpenBlockS266 in 2003. SSD/Linux, the dedicated Linux distribution for the series, was introduced with this model.
2005 saw the birth of the OpenMicroServer, a separate series. Based on MIPS architecture, it brought new features such as Gigabit Ethernet, USB, a digital IO port and Power over Ethernet, and greatly enhanced the possibilities with the MicroServer series.
Up-to-date model for today’s business
The new model, the OpenBlockS 600, offers the reliability and flexibility that made the series a bestseller and combines it with raw performance. With its even smaller form factor, it can go to more places and do more than any other embedded device.
On top of this, we continue the tradition of Open Source and total developer support that has always been a hallmark of Plat'Home.
